All replacement bolts are heat treated, so that they are unlikely to shear or snap on impact.
Many companies make crash protectors that fit into completely unsuitable places on a bike, such as 6mm fairing screws, laterally mounted bracketry (which could fold in on impact) or unsupported frame spars which could easily bend or break.
