The Power Commander is a fuel injection and adjustment unit that plugs "inline" with the bikes’ stock ECU (electronic control unit). The Power Commander uses original equipment style connectors so that no splicing or cutting of the harness is required. Its light weight and simple installation take less than 15 minutes, some as little as 5 minutes.
Changes are made to the bikes fuel and ignition curves via the Power Commanders onboard microprocessor. Using this technology Dynojet is able to offer a large area of adjustment without making any permanent changes to the bikes’ ECU . Removing the Power Commander returns the bike to its previous stock condition. The unit also comes complete with software and cable link that allows you to change between different maps or make adjustments to a map file.
It works by restructures signals from various sensors already fitted to the bike and sends them back to the ECU in a manner that inspires responsiveness, increases horsepower and allows for compatibility with free flowing air filters and race exhausts.
Each unit is supplied with a specific map, designed to improve performance over stock. In addition several maps for alternate tuning packages are included on the disk or can be downloaded into the module via a PC.
If no PC is available, the fule curve can be adjusted using the three touch buttoms on the faceplate.
