More and more new bikes are designed with very small silencers. moreover, these small silencers are sometimes fitted in strange positions, these facts have made it necessary to use smaller and smaller exhaust systems in the after market sector as well. For these reasons Arrow decided to introduce a street bike silencer range, and so the Street-Thunder range was born, a mix of design and technology making one of the best looking on the market. The difference lies in the design of the rear endcaps, available in stainless steel or in carbon fibre. To balance the reduced volume, strong work has been done in researching top level sound absorbent and thermal insulating materials: Arrow cannot list the tests made in the R&D and on the track, tests that made it possible for Arrow to introduce new technologies in the production process. Street Thunder silencers are road legal with removable dB-killer and are available with canisters manufactured from Titanium with Carbon Fibre end cap or Aluminium with Stainless Steel end cap.
- Road approved silencers to fit to original pipework (retains cat).
- Road / Track silencers feature a removeable baffle for race track use.
- Available: Titanium with Carbon Fibre end cap or Aluminium with Stainless Steel end cap
- Carbon Fibre hanging strap bracket included.
- Up to 30% - 50% reduction in weight over original equipment.
The same technology used to develop the professional racing silencers range is available also in the road legal version to enjoy the exclusivity and high performance level in full compliance with the latest European Community road regulations. The racing and the road approved silencers range share the same manufacturing procedures using top quality materials such as aluminium, titanium, carbon fibre and stainless steel assembled together using only T.I.G. and M.I.G. welding techniques.
However, the street legal version reduces drastically the sound emission through the use of an innovative inner silencer design, while maintaining the performance gain within the limits allowed by the European regulations. Each silencer is supplied with a copy of certification filed at the Ministry of Transportation.
