There's not much point in having an engine which produces good power, but is unable to transmit it all to the rear wheel, due to a slipping clutch.
Increasing engine power, race starts, stunting or just 'hooning' around, your clutch can take some serious wear and tear, often leading to clutch problems. The fibrous material stripped off the clutch plates during severe clutch slip can block up oil ways and blow up your engine!
If this happens, or you want to avoid it happening, our advice would be to fit uprated or racing clutch plates and springs designed to withstand the increased demands of a high performance motor and last much longer than a stock setup.
If you have to replace your clutch or plan on doing any racing or heavy riding, don’t waste your money on expensive OEM parts? |
